You are trying to import data from a webpage. What may work is to use the Data Import method. You can go to the excel worksheet menu and try a new webquery. In the address box you can type c: temp test.html (or equivalent) for you file name and see if you get good results. What I can also do is open a IE application from VBA and read the data into the spreadsheet. I've done this lots of times, but it is not trival. I can provide some samples of this type programming if the webquery doesn't work. Hi jdweng, Unfortunately, the codes you provide above didn't work for me. And i just open the 97-2003 worksheet file with notepad, it's really a html sheet which like this: Filter Name:Awaiting v-erchen Review, Date: 2/15/2011,User Alias: v-erchen D So i can understand why i can connect to the file with open the file by Excel first. OpenOffice.org's Documentation of the Microsoft Excel File Format Excel Versions 2, 3, 4, 5, 95, 97, 2000, XP, 2003 Author Daniel Rentz mailto:[email protected] http. In Excel 97-2003, the total number of available CLBs is limited to 64,000 CLBs in an instance of Excel. A CLB includes 16 worksheet rows. If all rows in a worksheet contain data, you would have 4,096 CLBs in that worksheet, and you could have only 16 such worksheets in a single instance of Excel (regardless of how many workbooks you have open in Excel). Do we have some interface which can convert the html sheet to a standard Excel file so i can connect to the file without open the file first? Thanks, eric.
